Oleai school meeting
postponed

The principal of Oleai Elementary School would like to inform all parents/guardians that the school’s Parent Orientation has been postponed until Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999, at 6:00 pm.

Another change in the school’s events is the PTSA Election Night, which will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 1999, at 6:00 pm.

The Open House Night will be on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1999, 6:00 pm.

House JGO Committee
public hearing

The House Committee on Judiciary and Governmental Operations, chaired by Rep. Frank G. Cepeda, would like to invite the public to a public hearing on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 1999, at 6:30 pm at the Multi-Purpose Building in Susupe.

The following bills will be discussed:

• HLI 11-10 “To amend Article II Section 3(a) of the CNMI Constitution” (To reduce Saipan House Seat To Eight. )

• HB 11-410 “To Allow The Transfer 0f Five Years Of Retirement Service Credit To Spouse.”

NMC 1999 Fall
registration extended

Northern Marianas College is pleased to announce that the registration period for Fall 99 has been extended from Aug. 9th thru Aug. 19th. All students may register during this open registration period from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (including lunch time). All offices will remain open during lunch time to provide services to the students during regular registration.

Fall Classes begin: Aug. 23, 1999

Late Registration: Aug. 23-27, 1999 (8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.)

New Student Orientation for Fall ’99 is on Friday, Aug. 13th, at 9:00 am at the Student Center, Building J, Saipan NMC Campus. Registration starts at 8:00 AM
