S. Korea beats CNMI 3-1
CNMI lost to South Korea 3-1 in yesterday’s game of the Far East Little League Tournament in Rota.
Korea scored its first run by a double from Lee Young that brought home Ryo Byoung Cho. Korea’s next two points came from Ryo’s two run homer after a single by Hwang Chan Jons.
The local team’s only score came from Daryl Ada’s solo home run.
Norita takes RGA’s
July Ace tourney
Ben Norita took first place at the Refaluwasch Golf Association July Ace tournament held at the Mariana Country Club on July 18, 1999 after shooting a gross 89 and with his 21 handicap that netted a 66.
Jess Wabol came in second with a gross score of 72 and his 4 handicap gave him a net 68. The closest to the pin winners are Wabol and Norita.
RGA members are informed that another tournament will be held on Sunday, August 1, 1999 at the Coral Ocean Point Golf Resort at 9:00 AM
Registration fee is $30 per player. There will be prizes for the top three lowest score based on the average of both player’s combined handicap and for all four par 3s closest to the pin, for the least number of putts, the lowest net score for nine holes and the most pars and birdies.
