Pacific Winds concert

The Saipan SDA Pacific Winds will be performing their annual Spring Concert Saturday, May 29, at 7:30 p.m.

The musical concert will be held at the SDA Center along Quartermaster Road, Chalan Lau Lau.

Selections will include pieces from movie soundtrack, Broadway, as well as classical and jazz music.

Admission is free.

NMC to help you start a business

Ever thinking of starting your own business but you never seem to get closer to it.

The Business Development Center of the Northern Marianas College will try to give you a hand.

A free workshop on “Thinking about starting your own business” is scheduled on Friday, June 11 at BDC in NMC.

It will discuss with future entrepreneurs the many services BDC extend to the public. It will also cover the importance of business planning before taking the plunge.

A similar workshop is on going at the University of Guam Small Business Development Center where there is a growing attendance.

“On Saipan, we’ll run the workshop once a month,” said business consultant Eric Plinske in a press statement.

The timing is also right for this workshop since the 2nd Annual Business Expo is scheduled in June on Rota, Tinian and Saipan.

MIFICPA induction

Induction of new set of officers of the Marianas Institute of Filipino CPAs will be held on June 11, 1999, 7 p.m. at the Saipan Grand Hotel.

Philippine Senator Gregorio Honasan will be the guest of honor and speaker.

The search for Miss MIFICPA will also be held during the event.

Tickets for the even are sold for $25.00 each which includes a dinner buffet and the chance to win exciting door prizes.

All Filipino accountants working in the CNMI are encouraged to support and join this event.
