Tourist nabbed for stealing at DFS

A female tourist was charged Friday with misdemeanor after pleading guilty to stealing goods at the Duty Free Shop, according to court documents.

Based on the information filed in the court, Ikuyo Kamura, 42, reportedly took a shoulder bag, lipstick, wallet and a pair of sunglasses from the store Thursday which amount was placed from $250 to $20,000.

Kamura, a Japanese national, however, entered into a plea bargain agreement to reduce the theft charges to misdemeanor, which is only punishable by 10 days jail term and a fine of $300.

She was freed after spending one day in jail and paying the fine since the court suspended the rest of the sentence.
