The two suspects in the killing of Joaquin Dela Cruz has surrendered to the police Wednesday, 15 hours after the victim was found dead in San Vicente.

The suspects, Nestor Taitano, a.k.a. Nestor Manglona, and George Manglona, turned themselves in Wednesday afternoon, according to Rose Ada, spokesperson of the Department of Public Safety.

The two, now detained at the Division of corrections, were earlier identified by witnesses as responsible for the slaying of Dela Cruz, who sustained a gunshot in the face.

Taitano and Manglona are both facing first degree offense and were ordered to post bail amounting to $250,000.

Dela Cruz was shot in the face and was found lying dead right in the middle of the dirt road leading to the Stanford Hotel Tuesday night.

Preliminary investigation showed that the victim arrived at the Manglona’s residence with two companions. One was reportedly looking for his wife when an argument ensued. Dela Cruz was later shot. Sheila D. Amor
