Manibusan, Aldan, Aldan SGA Champ

Judge Edward Manibusan, Tom Aldan and Ben Aldan all became Saipan Golfers Association monthly Club Champion on January, February and March respectively. Manibusan bringing in the best net score on January secured him a spot for the annual club championship tournament in December. Like Judge Manibusan, Tom ALdan also captured the February Club Champion to secure another spot for the December tour. March 1999 champion which was held last weekend at Laolao West Course was awarded to Vicente “Ben” Aldan who shot an incredible 46 in the front and 40 in the back. Ben’s handicap of 17 gave him the best overall net score of 69 to top all players.
The best gross and net score of the day actually was awarded to Judge Edward Manibusan who shot magnificently throughout the day with a front gross net score of 35 and back at 37 ever par for the day. With a 5 handicap, he was able to net the best at 67. Third finisher and new member with SGA was awarded to Frank Sablan with a consistent overall game of 46 front and 40 back with 16 handicap gave him the third best net score of 70. All winners were awarded cash prizes.
Closest to the pin contest was awarded as follows: Hole no. 3-Judge Manibusan (cash), hole no.7-Ed Manglona (2 sacks of rice), hole no. 13 -Ray Diaz (cash) and hole no. 17-Jess Castro (cs. of beer).
