The Guam Fire Department conducted a 40-hour Crime Scene Investigation Training to seven Rota Department of Public Safety police officers. The training was held last week from Sept. 25 to 29, 2017 at the Guam Police Department Crime Lab in Guam.

The Rota officers who completed the training are: Sgt. Jonathan Dlc. Garces, Police Officer 3 Perry K. Mesngon, P.O. 3 Tito S. Hocog II, P.O. 2 Nathan A. Barcinas, P.O. 2 Joseph Q. Camacho Jr., P.O. 1 Ben H. Atalig, and P.O. 1 Manuel B. Castro Jr. III.

Rota DPS resident director, Colonel Eusebio “Bill” Manglona thanked Guam Police Chief Joseph I. Cruz for the assistance in providing a critical and essential law enforcement training to Rota’s police officers. The training provided by the Guam Police Department saves funding for Rota DPS than sending one or two police officers to the mainland when they can send five more to Guam.

Colonel Manglona emphasized that several more investigation training are lined up with Guam Police such as homicide, burglary, and sexual assault. (PR)
