The last five members of the Guam Air National Guard’s 254th Security Forces Squadron (SFS) were set to arrive in Guam last night.
The 31-member team was officially activated in July 2013 and departed a month later for Al Udeid, AB, Qatar. They were tasked to support the U.S. Air Force’s Air and Space Expeditionary Force mission in Southwest Asia. Their tasking fell under the Air Force Central Command where the airmen were primarily focused on the provision of base defense measures, inclusive of personnel and resource security.

The first two chalks arrived in Guam earlier this month.

“As we celebrate the continued arrivals of our airmen, the Guam National Guard wishes to remind residents of Guam that there are still four soldiers from the 1990th Contingency Contracting Team still deployed as well as soldiers still receiving medical treatment in Hawaii following the recent deployment.  Please continue to keep them in your prayers,” said a statement from the Guam Air National Guard. (PR)
