5 arrested for separate domestic violence
Police arrested over the weekend five persons for allegedly committing various offenses in separate domestic violence incidents on Saipan.
Arrested were Phillip Manuel Pangelinan Roberto, 32; Kaylynn Jane Hebron Deleon Guerrero, 25; Alexander Paul Deleon Guerrero Pua, 21; Faunny Andalecio Kelulau, 40; and Tobias Rufus Saimon, 40.
Roberto was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, and disturbing the peace.
During an argument with his girlfriend, who was holding their newborn baby, Roberto allegedly slapped her in the neck and pointed a pocketknife at the side of her head at their house in Dandan Homestead on Saturday night.
Roberto was allowed to post a $625 cash bail and $5,625 in unsecured bond.
Kaylynn Deleon Guerrero was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, assault, and disturbing the peace.
Kaylynn Deleon Guerrero and her boyfriend were having an argument at an apartment in Dandan when she allegedly picked up a baseball bat and hit him in the lower back and below his neck, and punched him repeatedly in the face and head. She also allegedly grabbed a box blade, but he managed to hold her wrist.
A $6,750 cash bail was imposed on Kaylynn Deleon Guerrero.
Pua was arrested for assault and battery, interfering with a domestic violence report, and disturbing the peace.
Pua allegedly beat up his minor sister and her male friend inside the old Japanese jail in Garapan because she was drinking alcohol during a family’s party on Saturday early morning.
A $2,250 cash bail was imposed on Pua.
Kelulau was allegedly drunk when he and his girlfriend started arguing inside the car parked in the middle of the road near Northern Marianas College Gymnasium in Finasisu on Friday night. He allegedly pulled her hair and slapped her face. A motorist who saw the incident called the police. The wife told police that Kelulau is violent whenever he gets drunk.
A $1,500 cash bail was imposed on Kelulau.
Saimon was arrested for assault and battery and disturbing the peace.
Saimon allegedly repeatedly punched his girlfriend at a pavilion near Oleai Beach Bar and Grill on Saturday night, after accusing her of having an affair.
A $1,250 cash bail was imposed on Saimon.
