Latte Built Gym will hold the Inaugural 4th of July Independence Day 2-mile Race along the Gov. Froilan C. Tenorio Beach Road Pathway this Sunday from the Garapan Fishing Base to the National Office Supply building.

Registration fee is $10 and show time is at 5:30am with starting gun at 6am. Finishers’ medals will be given out to all participants with the Top 3 men and women receiving placement medals.

“Run Saipan has gained quite a lot of traction over the last six months. Run Saipan founder/organizer Edward Dela Cruz is a longtime Latte Built Gym member and friend and a huge advocate for running. We discussed hosting an annual run on a 4th of July since I am a veteran-owned business,” said Latte Built Gym owner Derek Cutting.

Being a veteran and since it’s the 4th of July and Independence Day and Liberation Day in the CNMI, Cutting thought it was perfect that the run be a 2-mile course.

“I designed the race to be 2 miles because that is the distance of our Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) run,” he said.
