The Department of Public Safety is searching for a 45-year-old woman who was reported missing since Sunday.
According to DPS public information officer Dre Pangelinan, Julieanna Martin, 45, is still missing from her home in Chinatown as of 3:10pm yesterday.
In a separate statement, DPS said they first received a call at 11:06am on Tuesday that Martin was missing. DPS police officers met with the caller who said that Martin had not been home since last Sunday at around 4pm.
DPS said that Martin’s neighbors have also not seen her since Sunday.
It was learned that Martin’s family initially did a search of several popular beaches upon realizing that she was missing and when they still couldn’t find her, that’s when they called DPS.
DPS said the caller notified them that Martin was often at popular beach spots. Martin’s family has been checking the beaches since Monday morning.
Pangelinan said that DPS units have been checking the usual spots that Martin frequently visits but, as of 3:10pm yesterday, she has yet to be found.
According to DPS, Martin was last seen wearing a T-shirt, a traditional mumu skirt (yellow, black, and green), and a blue jacket. She reportedly has schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
DPS advises the public to call 911 if they have any information about Martin. “Her safety is of utmost concern to the department and her family members. Our officers are here to help,” said a DPS statement.
