Shawn N. Anderson, the acting U.S. attorney for the Districts of Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, together with Drug Enforcement Administration resident agent-in-charge Edward Talbot, would like to thank everyone who participated in the 14th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, which was held last Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017.
Guam collected 452 lbs of prescription medication and the CNMI collected 44 lbs.
The biannual event was held in Guam and on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota and was also held at thousands of collection sites around the country. The event is an effort to rid homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.
