4.6-magnitude temblor shakes CNMI

A 4.6-magnitude earthquake jolted the Northern Islands just the coast of Anatahan last Monday morning.

According to a release from the CNMI Emergency Operations Center-State Warning Point, at about 1:49am on Jan. 28 a report of a 4.5-magnitude earthquake occurred 4 kilometers southwest of Anatahan located in the Northern chain of the Marianas Islands.

CNMI EOC reported that there were no reports of personnel injuries or damage to infrastructure and no tsunami warnings or advisories were issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
