$3K McFun Run proceeds presented to Rotary
McDonald’s Saipan donated $3,000 to the Saipan Rotary Club to support its ongoing projects during the club’s weekly meeting yesterday at the Hyatt Regency Saipan.
McDonald’s Saipan owner Marcia Ayuyu and McDonald’s Saipan marketing manager Ana Olaes presented the cash donation to Rotary Club president Richard Cody and president-elect Curtis Dancoe.

Ayuyu, who is also a Rotary Club director, said the donation represents proceeds from the McFun Run held last Feb. 21. The run was organized in partnership with the Rotary.
Although expenses for the running event exceeded their budget, Olaes said McDonald’s Saipan president Joe Ayuyu decided to give the full $3,000 to the Rotary.
Marcia Ayuyu said McDonald’s Saipan is more than happy to support projects of the local Rotary Club.
“We’re excited with the partnership and the Ayuyu family is looking forward to continuing the partnership and sponsor the McFun Run event every year,” Olaes said.
Dancoe said the Rotary Club is happy to receive the donation and thanked Ayuyu and Olaes for the donation.
Ayuyu said they are willing to repeat the McFun Run next year and will plan ahead of time.
The McFun Run drew more than a 100 participants, but Ayuyu said they plan to increase that number and make it even more successful next year.
She also thanked the sponsors of the McFun Run: Joeten Enterprises, Herman’s Modern Bakery, National Office Supply, D&Q, DFS T Galleria, Twins Supermarket, Coca Cola, and Yaong Corp.
