Rodney Junior Tomei towed Paire past Matansa after making a hat trick. He got his first goal in the 10th minute and the last two in back-to-back fashion after lighting up the board in the 26th and 30th minute. Jazzroy and Jayten Villagomez and Justidy Mizutani added one goal apiece for Paire after scoring in the third, 28th, and 21st minute, respectively.

Anton Megino delivered the lone goal for Matansa when he found the back of the net in the 35th minute.

In the second semis game, Bennet Haro was on first for Shirley’s, recording all of his team’s three goals. He started his string of goals in the 13th minute, got his second in the 28th, and the last in the 39th.

Shirley’s will challenge Paire for the division championship this Saturday at 4:20pm. Paire will be slightly favored in the title duel this weekend, as it has yet to drop a game in the short season to finish on top of the team standings with a 5-0-0 mark after the round-robin elimination. Shirley’s was ranked second going into the playoffs with its 3-1-1 win-draw-loss mark. Paire edged Shirley’s in their previous meeting, 2-1.

Before the Paire-Shirley’s champion match, Matansa will face MP United for the battle for third place at 3:10pm.

Meanwhile, TanHoldings Football Club placed fifth in the division after beating Kanoa Football Club last Saturday, 5-2.

Kay Anne Costales led TanHoldings in the victory after logging three goals, while Julio Monserat and John Lloyd Lucero chipped in one apiece. Kanoa got its pair of goals from Jayson and Arstin Tagabuel.
