3 earn top seeding in SEDA Bud Light Cup

The Naked Fish Ridin’ Dartty, and the Jokers X-ecutioners and Spartans clinched the top seeding in their respective divisions heading into the Bud Light Cup of the 2014 Saipan Electronic Darts Association League.

The Ridin’ Darrty sealed the No. 1 ranking in the A division after a 15-2 crushing of Smoke Pub Hunters to finish the elimination round with a 168-87 slate, 8-wins ahead of closest pursuer Sand Juvy Predator (160-95).

The Predators, a 13-4 conqueror of the Route33 Mafia, will also advance to the Bud Light Cup along with the Sand Juvy Outlawz, which scored a similar 13-4 decision over the Smoke Pub Comatose.

The Sand Juvy 1010 Proofers and the Sand Juvy Sakude closed out their respective campaigns with identical 10-7 wins over the Blood Brothers and Mixblood Shooters.

In the Chichirika C category, the Spartans ended their dominating season with a 13-2 win over the Joe’s DNA Jump It! to finish with a division best 138-87 slate.

The Barcode Breakers, despite a 9-6 setback to the Smoke Pub Snipers, also clinched a spot in the Bud Light Cup after finishing second in the standings with a 136-99 mark. The Jokers Disciples (125-100) came in at third after escaping with an 8-7 victory over the Sand Juvy Ta Chagi.

Smoke Pub Bull It! and Poseidon Feelin’ Lucky pulled off similar 8-7 wins over VFW ‘Ombak’ Hit’em Up and Blue Koi, respectively,

The X-ecutioners (151-74), sister teams Smoke Pub Marupok (139-86) and D’Mekaniks (126-99), and Route33 Mixblood Shooters are also shoo-ins in the Tuesday B division of the Bud Light Cup.

Bud Light Cup matches in the Ladies, Masters, Kingfisher, Fanihi and Flame Tree divisions, respectively, are ongoing.

The Jokers Kitty Kats, Naked Fish Dartin’ Divas, Smoke Pub Ladies Bull-It, and the Jokers G-Side Shooters are contending for the Ladies crown. The final match will be played on Dec. 8.

Sister squads Route33 Chagi Fan and Dart Knights, Naked Fish Hafa Mas, and the Oleai Rebels are the remaining teams in the Kingfisher division. The Bud Light Cup champion will be known on Dec. 10.

In the Masters class, the title contenders include Jokers Destroyers, Sand Juvy Shoot Balut, Jokers TRA-Bull Makerz, and Smoke Pub Master Outlawz and the Bud Light Cup champ will be named on Dec. 10.

The winning teams in the Fanihi and Flame Tree divisions will be known on Dec. 18. Both divisions will play the quarterfinal round today, while the semis will be held on Dec. 11.

Smoke Pub D’Mekaniks, Sand Juvy Put3ska, Route33 Mixblood Shooters, Smoke Pub 80 Proofers, VFW Warriors, Route33 Bud Kings, Sand Juvy No Fear and Jokers Chagi Fan are the competing teams in the Fanihi division.

In the Flame Tree class, there are eight squads battling for the division crown: Naked Fish Na’Gupu, Ridin’ Darrty and Oneshot, Sand Juvy Dart Balas, Joe’s Serial Killaz, Jonny’s Kyodai, Jokers Warriors ,and Smoke Pub Team Figan. (Jon Perez)
