Superior Court Associate Judge Teresa Kim-Tenorio has slapped a three-day prison term against a woman who grabbed a machete and screamed at a man in As Perdido and assaulted the latter’s sister over a text message telling her to stop talking.

At a hearing on Tuesday, Kim-Tenorio sentenced Binar Sambile to six months in prison, all suspended except for three days of time served, for assault and battery.

Kim-Tenorio ordered the 51-year-old Sambile to complete a 50-hour community service and pay a $100 fine, $25 in court costs, and $100 in probation fees.

Sambile pleaded guilty as part of a plea deal. The disturbing the peace charge was dropped.

She was represented by assistant public defender Benjamin Petersburg.

According to the plea agreement, on Aug. 10, 2014, Sambile pushed her finger on Tashina V. Mori’s forehead and pulled her hair.
