The triathlon season begins this Saturday with the staging of the 2nd Saipan Duathlon—one of the warm-up races for the 2018 Tagaman.
The run-bike-run event will start at 6am at Paupau Beach near Kensington Hotel.
Individual sprint and standard, and relay standard are the distances offered in the race.
The individual sprint starts with a five-kilometer run, followed by a 20K bike, and ends with a 2.5K run. The individual standard distance is composed of a 10K run, 40K bike, and 5K run. The team relay standard distance is broken down into a 10K run, 40K bike, and 5K run.
Online registration fee, which comes with a finisher’s T-shirt, is $20, while entries will cost $25 on race day. Participants will also get a $10 discount with their Tagaman registration if they enter this Saturday’s event.
The race is organized by Triathlon Association of the CNMI and supported by Marianas Visitors Authority, IT&E Bridge Capital, Kanoa Resort, and Gatorade.
