The dance group 29/11 will be conducting its second concert this Friday, April 28, to fundraise for the team’s trip to Korea to represent the CNMI.

29/11 is a dance group that was established last year by Ray Lizama. The dance group consists of high school and junior high school students who want to showcase their talents and represent their faith in God and their island.

The group hopes to later inspire other young people to showcase their God-given talents

The group of dancers, according to their adviser Boni Sagana, mainly wants to express themselves through their dancing and to help others in any was possible.

Sagana shares that this group is a trustworthy bunch of teenagers that share a passion for dance and good company.

Sagana proudly shared in an interview that the parents of these teenagers trust this group and its cause. The parents believe that this group is nothing but a good influence for these teenagers. “Bad things such as drugs are on the rise but I believe this group puts these children in the right path,” said Sagana.

The group plans to leave for Korea this summer but have no funds to do so. The group’s plan is to showcase their talents and the passion in what they do at a hip-hop convention that will be held in Korea.

Besides the fact that the group plans to showcase their talents, the group will also be representing the Commonwealth at the hip-hop convention.

According to Sagana, the concert’s main purpose is to fundraise for the trip but another reason is for the members of the group.

It is also so that the group members may have more exposure to the public eye and can grow in their experience in performing before a crowd, said Sagana.

The concert will be held this Friday, April 28. Doors will open at 7pm and will end at 9pm.

The concert will be held at the Royal Taga Hall of the Saipan World Resort.
