Maven is a borrowed word from the Yiddish word “meyvn.” It means expert, or connoisseur. A maven is a trusted expert in a particular field, who passes timely and relevant knowledge on to others in that field.

recent NRA/Russian collusion gave us Butina’s maven Torshin
deep RESPECT for maven Aretha Franklin in everything she sings.
My all-time favorite maven was Anne Leahy, my beloved mother
who shared her wisdom and love with her five casarean offspring
she taught domestic diplomacy dealing with father and brothers
baking cookies, bread, pies, cleaning and kitchen skills, everything.
My “Maven of the Month’” whose nomination seems self-evident
is a retired admiral who oversaw the Osama Bin Laden raid
on Trump’s removal of John Brennan’s security clearance he said
“Revoke my security clearance, too, Mr. President.”
For the month of August 2018 then my favorite maven
is US Navy retired Admiral William H. Mc Raven.
No and Yes I Must Lie I’m That Kind Of Guy
Yes, I must lie what other kind of guy can fake a viper’s hiss
nonsensical repetitive tweets full of twit more and more BS
to lie boldface now, even admitting obstruction of justice
a tongue-tied knot of snake oil in a poisonous viper’s pit
to delete a Twitter rant I could but really must say I can’t
screens light up in red and blue states in my divided nation
the “disgusting” “fake news” in a frenzy all rush and pant
quickly fact checking every single lie in every situation
my sycophantic dependent base defends my every move
at my most egregious nothing I say or do seems to shock
money scandals, nepotism, lies about it are in my groove
though I won about Obama and Hillary I’m ready to mock
despite danger from perjury, impeachment, imprisonment
my prevarication pathway proves to be time well-spent.
