A woman reported missing Wednesday morning by her husband was found yesterday and confirmed safe by the Department of Public Safety.

On Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, at approximately 2:30pm, police officers responded to a missing person report. Forty-three-year-old Jacqueline Laguimon was reported missing by her husband Juan Carlos.

“We had a little argument, she walked away and didn’t come home. I got worried that I called the police,” Carlos said.

According to DPS public information officer Jacqueline Rae Shepard, Laguimon contacted DPS yesterday and confirmed that she is safe.

Carlos said he tried to reach out to Laguimon via facebook and got a response.

“When she responded, I told her I have good intentions, advised her to stop this drama, and call the police. That’s what she did and she was declared safe,” he said.

“She is still not home yet but I know that she is okay,” Carlos said.
