254th SFS Airmen depart for deployment

Airmen from the Guam Air National Guard’s 254th Security Forces Squadron (254SFS) departed Friday morning for a deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Southwest Asia.

The airmen are tasked with performing different security missions, such as force protection support for personnel, aircraft and the flight line on fly away missions throughout the Afghanistan region; flight line and perimeter security inside and outside the wire; at entry control points and act as provost marshal advisers.
