The 22nd Annual Taste of The Marianas International Food Festival & Beer Garden will be held on Aug. 27-29, on the island of Saipan, bringing some of the best island cuisine and entertainment together in what is expected to be the island’s largest gathering in over a year.
The event will be held at the Garapan Fishing Base from 5pm to 10pm with 14 food and two beverage vendors confirmed.
This annual signature event of the Marianas Visitors Authority will return following a hiatus in 2020 due to COVID-19. The evening event will again feature affordable dishes from local hotels and restaurants, live entertainment, and arts and crafts sales.
“We know the community has missed Taste of The Marianas, and with the anticipated resumption of international flights in July, we look forward to bringing back one of Saipan’s most popular events in August,” said MVA managing director Priscilla M. Iakopo. “We are excited to be celebrating Taste with the community once again.”
COVID-19 protocols will be strictly followed at the event. There will be one point of entry near the Garapan Public Market, and attendees must undergo a temperature check, submit their contact information, and wear a wristband at the event. Vendors will accept both Taste of The Marianas orange, blue, or green tokens or cash; tokens will not be sold this year. Local arts and crafts will also be available for sale.
