Another ruptured water main causes temporary water service interruption

Commonwealth Utilities Corp. customers in Chalan Laulau, Beach Road, and Gualo Rai are experiencing a temporary water service interruption resulting from a ruptured l6-inch water main on Chalan Pale Amold Road (Gualo Rai). The cause of the rupture is undetermined and is undergoing an investigation.

The Call Center received a trouble call at 9pm last night, reporting that there was a water leak on the northbound lane of Chalan Pale Arnold Road fronting Transamerica Hardware in Gualo Rai. The respective agencies were informed and repairs were initiated at 8am yesterday.

Currently, the outer northbound lane is closed for CUC repair crews. Motorists are urged to be cautious in the area and also advised to take an alternative route if possible.

Repairs are anticipated to be completed later today and customers in the affected area should expect restoration of services today, March 4,2016.
