Elements of Nature Kid’s Camp at Church 360

Church 360 will be hosting a free Kid’s Camp strating Tuesday, July 7, through Friday, July 10, at the church’s first floor location in the Marianas Business Plaza. The camp will be from 9am to noon each day. This will be for children ages 4-10. Pre-registration is advised as the camp will only serve 40 children. Activities will include interactive Bible stories, singing, science experiments, crafts, games, snacks, and more all themed with the element of the day, earth, water, fire, and air.

SVES opens registration for SY 2015-2016

San Vicente Elementary School has opened its registration for School Year 2015-2016 and the schedule is from July 1 to 31 for students from first to fifth grade. Registration is from 9am to 3pm in the school’s main office.

Requirements for incoming students are the following:

• Copy of birth certificate

• Original health certificate (from Public Health or any private clinic)

• Updated medical insurance (Medicaid, any government insurance, or accidental insurance (from Moylan’s Insurance or Marianas Insurance)

• Map of residential location

• Copy power of attorney/legal guardianship (if applicable)

• Withdrawal from any existing school, must provide copy of the latest report card.

CNMI Museum board meeting today

The CNMI Museum of History and Culture will be holding a regular meeting of its Board of Governors today, June 2, at 9am at the NMI Humanities Council Conference Room. The agenda will include the election of officers, a continuation of the review of the museum work plan and preparations for the development of a strategic plan. A finalized agenda will be available prior to and at the meeting.

Lower Base Transfer Station, Marpi Landfill closed on July 4

The Lower Base Transfer Station and the Marpi Landfill facilities will be closed all day on Saturday, July 4, 2015, in observance of Independence Day. Regular schedule will resume on Monday, July 6, 2015, from 7:30am to 11:30am and 12:30pm to 4pm. (PR)

Tinian scholarship office relocates to NMC Campus

The Tinian Municipal Scholarship Office has been relocated to the Tinian Northern Marianas College Campus (Room E) as of June 17, 2015.

The relocation is part of the office’s efforts to improve public service effectively and efficiently. With this relocation, all students will also have the opportunity to connect with NMC partners within the same facility. Office staff, as well as the Tinian NMC staff, are ready to assist students in working toward furthering their educational goals.
