Gold’s Gym Saipan will start its much-anticipated “2022 Gold’s Gym Challenge” with the last day of sign-ups and final weigh-in on April 16.

Challengers will be competing for a piece of the $5,000 cash prize pool. Overall winners plus age/gender category winners will be receiving cash prizes. Early bird weigh-in is on April 11 with the second weigh-on on April 13.

“Winners, of course, love the cash prizes. But, I see the sparkle in all of the challenger’s eyes. They win! They feel healthier and stronger, and love the motivation the Challenge provides,” said Gold’s Gym general manager Tyce Mister.

He added that Gold’s Gym Saipan launched the eight-week fitness campaign with the goal of changing lives in the Marianas. The Gold’s Gym Challenge 2022 offers contestants an opportunity to exceed their fitness goals, transform themselves, and earn a chance to win cash prizes at the same time.

At Gold’s Gym, the mission is to “Help people achieve their potential through fitness,” added Mister. The Gold’s Gym Challenge has proven time and time again that participants surprise themselves with the changes made throughout their Challenge journey. Changes, not only with their body and fitness levels, but also with bigger things like self-discipline, willpower, inner strength, and positive changes in their relationships with others.

These Challengers will be measured and photographed at the start of the eight-week program to establish a point of reference for their transformation. At the end of the challenge, contestants will be measured and photographed once again to document the results of their progress and to determine the winners of each category.

The Gold’s Gym Challenge is open to any individual, age 18 or older, that lives in the CNMI and is a Gold’s Gym member throughout the Challenge. The cost to enter the Challenge is only $60. Please stop by Gold’s Gym Saipan, located next to Sugar King Park, to register and to check out their 2022 Challenge Specials. Total cash prize pool ultimately depends on the number of participants.

Last year, Paul Ruechoway was the Overall Male Winner. Ruechoway shared, “The entire journey has completely changed my life. I’ve become the healthiest I’ve ever been in my life and I feel confident and secure in my own body. Joining Gold’s Gym is one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. I’ve found a new hobby and made great friends.”

Emily Santos, the Overall Female Winner, shared her inspiration, “Always believe in yourself, even when you feel like quitting. The end result will become your greatest reward.”

Gold’s Gym Challenge has been an annual event since 2013. The Challenge serves the community to be a positive opportunity to promote health and fitness. Gold’s Gym Saipan appreciates last year’s partners for their tremendous support: PHI Pharmacy, Michelob Ultra, Brabu Pharmacy and Wellness Center, and TurnKey Solutions.
