2019 Youth Conservation Corps internships available
This summer, American Memorial Park will once again will host the Youth Conservation Corps program and will be accepting applications through March 28, 2019 by close of business.
The Youth Conservation Corps is a well-balanced work-learn-earn program that helps develop participating youths understanding of our nation’s heritage and the environment. YCC participants will engage in a wide variety of conservation and park operations activities that will teach them about our National Park and the National Park Service’s mission to protect special places for all.
The park will hire between two to six youth in the YCC program at the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands minimum wage. The program will run for up to eight weeks, from June 11 to Aug. 3, with participants working up to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Enrollees must be at least 15 years of age by June 10, 2019 and no older than 18 on August 3, 2019. To apply, applicants must fill out an application and if not 18 years of age, have a parent’s or guardian’s signature. The randomly selected program participants will be contacted by program coordinator Theo Chargualaf.
Applications can be picked up Monday through Friday, from 9am through 5pm, at the American Memorial Park Visitor Center. The deadline for applications is 4pm on March 28.
