2016 Chamorro Language Competition announces list of winners

The University of Guam Chamorro Studies Program held its annual “Inacha’igen Fino’ CHamoru” or Chamorro Language Competition last March 8 and 9 at the UOG campus. Hundreds of students from both private and public schools throughout the Marianas gathered to compete in categories that tested their knowledge of speaking, reading, writing, and singing in the Chamorro language.

The theme of the competition was “I Fino’ CHamoru: I Guinaha-ta, Iyo-ta yan Ta Fanána’I (The Chamorro Language: Our Abundance and Ours to Share with One Another).”

Below is the list of winners of the 2016 Chamorro Language Competition:
