2016 Businesswoman of the Year to be announced at Gala

MAITE, Guam—The 2016 First Hawaiian Bank and Guam Business Magazine Businesswoman of the Year Maga’håga award recipient will be announced on Saturday, April 30, at the 11th Annual Businesswoman of the Year Gala at the Hyatt Regency Guam.

The 2016 nominees are:

-Jessica M. Barrett, president, Barrett Enterprises Inc., which does business as Barrett Plumbing;

-Eleanor T. Cabrera, president, Transcends LLC, which does business as Naked Fish Bar & Grill;

-Wendi S. Herring, general manager, Asia Pacific Hotels Inc., which does business as Kanoa Resort Saipan;

-Dr. Jitka Lom, president and medical director, ExpressCare Health and Skin Center Inc.;

-Polly D. Masga, general manager, Marianas Medical Center;

-Donna R. Muña Quinata, senior vice president, Guam AutoSpot; and

-Sophia Chu Wigsten, general manager, Hyatt Regency Guam.

The Guam Business Magazine May-June issue, featuring a photo of the winner on its cover, will be released in conjunction with the announcement of the winner.

The award program recognizes businesswomen in Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands who have made significant contributions to their industries and have demonstrated a strong commitment to their community. Through proceeds from the gala, the program also funds scholarships for students pursuing business and related degrees at the University of Guam, Guam Community College and Northern Marianas College.
