Two years of offering entertainment, food, and gaming. Club C turns two years old on July 5 and this sums up their operations on Saipan, showing it is more than just a casino gaming facility by featuring live entertainers and great food for you and your friends to enjoy.
Club C overcame the birth pangs of an electronic gaming facility and is still surviving even with competitors also opening. Club 88, which has two e-gaming branches, at Saipan Oceanview Hotel and Mariana Resort & Spa, and Best Sunshine Live are Club C’s competitors.
“We always hear the question, ‘when are you guys closing?’ Our status is stable financially,” said Strategic Gaming Solutions Inc. general manager Peter Stewien, who is also in charge of Club C’s overall management. SGS owns Club C.
“We operate like the casinos in some cities. We have lots of gamers every weekend but our difference here is we have a strict no smoking policy. Also, the usual comment from our guests is we have friendly staff and good customer service is the lifeblood of a business like ours.”
Stewien has more than 30 years of experience managing different casinos, starting his career at the Adelaide Casino in Australia. He also worked in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, Hungary, Macau, Subic Bay in the Philippines, and Gold Reef City in South Africa.
“We have other attractions for the non-gamers. Some of Club C’s regular customers come here to enjoy the live entertainment, have some drinks, and eat with their friends. Just to have fun whether after work or during weekends.”
He said that Club C has also been known for its live entertainment with Toby Webb and Gigi Almine having their own local fan base, regular visitors whenever they are on stage. “We noticed there are a lot of guests because of their different styles of singing.”
“In the coming years, we are also planning to put more emphasis and giving local singers the chance to perform,” added the former gaming manager of Casino Canberra who served as a lieutenant in the Australian Army Reserve.
Food and drinks is another crowd drawer at Club C. Food and beverage manager Anita Go said their restaurant has the reputation of having food that people love. “It is a mix of American, Chinese, and Filipino dishes.”
“People who come here have their own favorite food that they usually order. Plus we offer new dishes with our Spicy Tuesdays and Beerkada Fridays,” said Go, who added that Club C has one of the widest beer selections on Saipan.
“For our anniversary, we will be having beer tasting of Franken Brau beers, while some of the cocktails will be 50-percent off for players and guests. We will also be having free buffet for all,” Go said.
There will also be giveaways while exciting and big prizes are up for grabs in their anniversary raffle. They will still have their regular weekend raffle giveaways from Thursdays to Sundays, but bigger prizes will be offered on Tuesday night.
Club C, which has a staff of 25, has also announced its new operating hours of 5:15pm to 3am from Mondays to Fridays and 12pm to 4am every Saturdays and Sundays. They also opened the VIP room, which can fit 25 people, for private functions complete with Karaoke.
