Attorney Joseph James Norita Camacho will have two swearing-in ceremonies as the newest associate judge at the Superior Court.

Camacho will take his oath during a private ceremony today, Thursday, at 2pm, at the Office of the Governor’s conference room on Capital Hill.

Saipan Tribune learned that Gov. Benigno R. Fitial will administer the oath.

Today’s swearing-in is needed in order for the administration to begin processing the paperwork for Camacho’s elevation to the Judiciary.

Camacho told Saipan Tribune that an investiture ceremony, which will be open to the public, will be held on Nov. 18, 2011, at the CNMI Supreme Court at 10am.

The Supreme Court is expected to issue a public announcement about the ceremony.

Ramona V. Manglona also had two swearing-in programs as chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the NMI.

Camacho, a former House floor leader and government prosecutor, will replace Manglona as Superior Court associate judge.
