2 naturalization ceremonies at new Gualo Rai courthouse

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands will conduct two naturalization ceremonies in Saipan on July 28. At these ceremonies, 49 immigrants will become U.S. citizens. Chief Judge Ramona V. Manglona will preside.

Those taking the oath of allegiance are mostly from the Philippines (38), with two each from Russia, Thailand, and Japan. Also represented are Bangladesh, Hong Kong, South Korea, Mexico, and Mauritius, for a total of 49.

The first ceremony will take place at 10am, while the second will take place at 3pm. Both ceremonies will be held at the new federal courthouse in Gualo Rai.
