The Junior International Thespian Society through the Thespian of the Western Pacific Island held its two-day regional competition to establish this year’s CNMI representatives to the Junior International Thespian Society Festival, which will take place in Sacramento, California this February 2017.

Dandan Middle School entered three of its students in the two-day competition, two of whom will be this year’s CNMI representative in California.

Jonathan Wolf, last year’s representative in the Junior International Thespian Society Festival in Texas, placed first in both of his entries this year: Monologue and Duet Acting. His duet associate, Juliet Inocencio, placed second in Solo Musical, while Donato Santiago Jr. placed third.

“The competitors get better and better each year, it’s amazing. …Despite the close and tight match, they all are friends after,” exclaimed the DMS troupe director and coach, who was amazed at the outcome of the tournament.
