14 candidates vying for Queen of the World title
In celebration of its 14th anniversary, the Bayani Association has a special treat, not only for the Filipino community but for the entire CNMI as well. Showcasing beauty, fashion, wit, and talent, contestants of the Queen of the World Gay Beauty Pageant will be competing in five categories: national costume, lingerie wear, talent, evening gown, and the question-and-answer portion.
The 14 candidates are Chris, Laura, Bernadette, Jolly, Sunshine, Rica, Georgia, Macy, Nestea, Tammy, Milkshake, Joanne, Babes, and Anne.
Special awards will be also given: Ms. Congeniality, Ms. Photogenic, and Spirit Award with cash, sash, and bouquet. The Queen of the World title as well as the runners-up will be receiving cash prizes, crowns, sashes, and bouquets. All non-winners will have a consolation prize of $100 cash and will receive certificates of participation.
Bayani president Mario Mayuga assured that all candidates will not leave empty-handed and will get the best that they deserve.
The pageant will be held at the Royal Taga Hall, Saipan World Resort on July 18, 2015, Saturday, from 6pm to 10pm. Doors open at 5pm. This is a fundraising event; tickets for $10 each are available from all candidates, Bayani officers, and members.
