The Commonwealth Ports Authority announced yesterday its summer flight schedule for the Francisco C. Ada/Saipan International Airport.

The following 10 airlines have set their flight schedule: Asiana Airlines, Beijing Capital Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Jeju Air, Sichuan Airlines, United Airlines, Hong Kong Airlines, HK Express, T’way Air, and Skymark Airlines.

Asiana Airlines will operate a daily flight to Incheon International Airport.

Beijing Capital Airlines will operate a flight to China twice per week.

China Eastern Airlines will operate a flight to Beijing three times per week.

Jeju Air will not only operate two daily flights between Saipan and the Incheon International Airport but it will also operate a flight to Gimhae International Airport in Busan four times a week.

Like Jeju, Sichuan Airlines is also scheduled to operate flights to two different locations: a flight to Shanghai Pudong Airport four times per week and a flight to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport twice per week.

United Airlines will operate a morning flight to the Antonio B. Won Pat International Airport in Guam daily and an evening flight to the Antonio B. Won Pat International Airport twice per week.

Hong Kong Airlines will operate a flight to Hong Kong International Airport twice per week.

HK Express will operate a flight to Hong Kong International Airport four times per week.

T’way Air will operate a flight to Incheon International Airport five times per week.

Skymark Airlines operated charter flights to Narita International Airport earlier this month.

“I’m happy to announce the summer schedule for our airlines,” said CPA executive director Chris Tenorio. “The Commonwealth Ports Authority is working hard to incentivize new airlines to begin operating in the CNMI, and with the support of other CNMI government offices, I believe other airlines will see that the CNMI is an attractive tourist location and will seek operating new flights not only to Saipan but also to Tinian and Rota.” (PR)
