One of four men indicted in federal court in connection with an alleged meth lab on Saipan has pleaded guilty.

Rick Urumelog Omar Jr., also known as Boboy, pleaded guilty last Friday to conspiracy to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine, and manufacture and distribution of methamphetamine on premises where a child is present and resides.

The offenses carry a total maximum penalty of not more than 40 years imprisonment.

U.S. District Court for the NMI Chief Judge Ramona V. Manglona will sentence Omar on Sept. 21.

Assistant U.S. attorney Garth Backe did not object to Omar’s ongoing release pending his sentencing.

Omar’s co-defendants are Vincent David Cabrera Jr., Eugene Blas Repeki Jr., and Sidney Capelle Kani.

According to the indictment, Omar, Cabrera, Repeki, and Kani allegedly conspired to possess equipment, chemicals, and materials, which may be used to manufacture methamphetamine such as pseudoephedrine, lithium batteries, cold packs, iodized salt, lye, lighter fluid, water bottles, and coffee filters.
