Ballers upset league leading PTI Jam Shooters
Cellar dweller Ballers pulled off the year’s biggest upset when it nipped league leading PTI Jam Shooters in the lone game of the 2006 CNMI Billiard Spring Season played at Corner Pocket Wednesday night.
Jam Shooters were out of sync all evening long and were ambushed by Ballers, 8.5-8. Despite the loss, the PTI team still remained in first place with a point total of 92 and Ballers continued to reside in the bottom of the standings with 64.5 accrued points.
Three other head-to-head matches were played at Shooters Sports Bar with Hyatt Pomec dislodging Los Cabos from second place following its 9-4 victory over Ballers II.
Los Cabos went down to Destroyers, 9.5-10, while Pool Junkies lorded it over Navy Hill Boys, 10-3.5.
Hyatt Pomec ended the evening with 87 points, Los Cabos 86, Destroyers 85, Pool Junkies 82, Navy Hill Boys 70, and Ballers II with 68.5.
The CNMI Billiard League is organized and operated by the CNMI Billiard and Dart Association with direct help and services provided by AMPAC, Ltd. and Shooters Sports Bar & Grill.

In related news, CNMI Billiard and Dart Association is reminding all members and non-member dart players, that there will be a blind draw dart tournament scheduled at Shooters Sports Bar every Saturday night beginning April 1 at 8pm. Entry fee is $5 and games are only $.50 per player.
