A new name, a new image and improved food and services are among the changes at the newly renamed Chinese restaurant at the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan called The Bund.

Formerly known as the New Jade Garden Chinese Restaurant, The Bund promises more delectable Chinese cuisine for the discriminating palates of Chinese food aficionados.

F&B director Jimmy Kok said that Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan changed the names of its in-house restaurants because these used to be licensed with the hotel’s previous name, Dai-Ichi Hotel Saipan Beach. Renovations of the restaurants will soon follow.

Jimmy said the new name for the Chinese restaurant is derived from the long stretch of highway fronting the business district of Shanghai called The Bund, which has several historical buildings that have been existing for over 100 years. The Bund in Shanghai is now turning into an area of excellent fine dining in Shanghai.

Jimmy said the new name and branding of the Chinese restaurant signal a more festive and livelier atmosphere, in line with the “Fiesta” theme of the hotel.

The restaurant will focus more on Chinese cuisine, especially those that originated in Shanghai. Jimmy promises great-tasting food at very affordable prices.

The Bund is currently offering a gastronomic promo called “What Hot & What’s Not: Chinese Hot Pot, Chinese Fondue and Steam Boat Shabu Shabu.”

With the new promo, dine-in guests are treated to the widest array of fresh ingredients that include seafood, vegetables and meat. All ingredients are at $1 each, and starting from $5, the ingredients can be added to a choice of three savory hot broths.

Complimentary dipping sauces are also available, making guests’ dining experience truly a memorable one.

Diners will still be treated to The Bund’s eat-all-you-can dimsum on Saturdays, for only $12.99 per person and avail of the current offer, which is for a party of four, dine-in guests will only pay for three.

For reservations, call Fiesta Resort & Spa at 233-6414. A 10-percent discount is applicable to local guests; VIP cards are also honored.
