The House of Manhoeben Saints leveled its win-loss card to 2-2 after routing a young and raw Sixers III team, 60-24, in the resumption of the 2006 Inter-Village Youth Basketball League Monday night at the Chalan Kanoa Basketball Court.

Like their previous games, league leading scorer Luizi Reyes paced the Saints during their swashbuckling first quarter, erupting for eight points as the CTSI Logistics-backed team went ahead 24-6.

Although Sixers III managed to put up eight points on the scoreboard in the second, Saints continued to lead—even as they played mostly shock troopers—and headed into the halftime break on top by the same 18 margin, 32-14.

The Saints continued to cruise in the third, outscoring the team from the south, 10-6, to take a 42-20 spread into the fourth and final quarter.

Reyes reasserted himself in the game’s final eight minutes, exploding for 10 points, as the Saints ran away with the 36-point win.

He went on to topscore for the game with 22 markers, while Zach Tudela added 14 in support for the Saints. The Sixers, which dropped to 0-3 in the team standings, was led by the eight points on Niko Salem.

Last Saturday, Garapan Rollers I caught up with Sixers I on top of the team standings after beating Sixers II during a make-up game held at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.
