KES PTSA moves to help homeless family
The Parents Teachers and Students Association of Koblerville Elementary School is asking for assistance from the community in the form of clothes, food, and toiletries for the two young Cepeda brothers, their mother, and grandmother who are homeless.
“We have a situation in our hands where two children are not only homeless but are without clothes, food and other necessities,” says Rose T. Ada-Hocog, KES PTSA president. “One of the two boys is a student here at K.E.S. and we will not leave him, or his brother, out there to suffer.”
The issue of the brothers was part of the agenda during the monthly PTSA meeting at the school that was held last night.
“We informed the parents about the boys and they are concerned. It was decided that we were going to ask the community for assistance. I am also asking the proper authorities to probe into the legality of an apartment or house owner keeping the possessions of a tenant who was evicted.”
KES principal Eric Evangelist was tasked by Ada-Hocog to act as the liaison between the mother of the boys and the association.
“We have asked Mr. Evangelista to find out the sizes of the boys so that we can have that information ready for those who want to give clothes, shoes or slippers,” she said. “Please find it in your hearts to help these children.”
All donations are to be forwarded to KES. (PR)
