This letter might be a little strange to you, but if it doesn’t pertain to you, please disregard. My name is Kelly Edenfield-Robinson and I live in Jacksonville, Florida in the United States. I am the daughter of Jack (John) Robinson who is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My father had a relationship with a woman name Dolores Guerrero while serving in the U.S. Coast Guard on Saipan. The result of this relationship was a son that was born approximately in 1966. My father did not know of this child until the passing of my grandmother, Olive Robinson.
It has always been my interest to find this person, but I feel a greater need to do it at this time in my life. Not only am I getting older, but my father (also the child’s father) has cancer. It is unknown whether his cancer is terminal. He has been battling it for two years. One month there is nothing and then the next it pops up somewhere else. The latest is that it is in the brain and there is something on his spine. Although we are confident that modern medicine will cure him as his tumors are isolated, meeting his son is the only issue in his life that is unresolved. He has always wanted to take a trip back to Saipan, but at this time I don’t think he has the strength to do everything that he would want to and to be able to enjoy himself to the fullest.
I have read numerous letters exchanged between my father and Dolores. I do know that Dolores went to school in Guam and is of the Catholic faith. She has a brother name John C. Guerrero. She also stayed with a sponsor family in Guam with the name of Ed Duenas that lived in Sinajana and, at that time, owned by Ricky Auto Co. I would do anything to meet this person and share our family history and life. If you can provide any information about Dolores or a family member, please respond to me by any appropriate means or pass on this information. Once again, if this does not pertain to you, please disregard. Thanks for any help that you can provide in fulfilling one of my dreams and surely my father’s.
