Hollman hired as Fund legal counsel

The NMI Retirement Fund board has selected Department of Commerce’s hearing officer James Hollman as its new legal counsel.

Fund administrator Karl Reyes said Hollman was one of the three lawyers who turned in their applications for the position last year.

The Fund has been lacking an in-house lawyer for over two years.

It offers a maximum of $65,000 annual salary for a legal counsel position.

The Fund manages and invests funds for its members.
It is also administers health and life insurance program for government employees and oversees the Workers’ Compensation Commission.
