Hardt Eye Clinic marks second anniversary
Hardt Eye Clinic is celebrating its 2nd anniversary this February.
The eye clinic was started by Dr. David Hardt and Dr. Don Hardt, who happen to be brothers, optometrists, and both graduates of the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry.
The clinic has the newest, most modern technology to ensure you are getting the utmost in quality service. Their friendly and knowledgeable staff treats each patient as a member of their extended family, making sure that your time spent there is enjoyable and comfortable.
The eye clinic provides unhurried, thorough exams for children, adults and the elderly. The treatment of diabetic and glaucoma eye problems are a priority at the clinic, as both of these diseases are on the rise here on the island. They have a new retinal camera, specially designed using the latest digital technology, which can take detailed pictures of the interior of the eye to help them better monitor and treat eye diseases, especially diabetes.
The clinic offers same day service for most lenses. They have an on-site lab to ensure the highest quality workmanship that they guarantee. The guarantee offered is quite incredible—for one year, you can replace or repair your eyeglasses if they break or scratch! The guarantee also assures the patient that they will love their new glasses or they can be replaced for any reason for up to 60 days!
Picking the frame you like is actually quite easy, as they have over 1,000 frames to choose from, including the latest styles from famous designers like Calvin Klein, Coach, Fendi, Richard Scott, Nickelodeon, Barbie and Rugrats. They are also proud to announce the exclusive debut of their latest selection of frames from renowned fashion designer Andre Kim. These frames, made in Japan, offer the latest sophisticated looks straight from the runway to your door. Come in and discover the elegant look of these beautiful frames and trendy sunglasses.
They also specialize in contact lens patients and their care. They have lots of different lenses to choose from and will help you find that perfect fit.
The clinic staff is fluent in Chamorro, Japanese, Tagalog and Carolinian. They will do their best to offer the friendliest of services, often serving fresh popcorn and coffee in their comfortable waiting area. And don’t fret, the magazines in the waiting room are not outdated—they are the latest editions to keep you happy!
Dr. David Hardt was the first U.S. trained eye doctor to live on Saipan, arriving in 1992. Graduating from the U.C. Berkeley School of Optometry, he was for nearly six years a dedicated member of the Eye Department of the Loma Linda University of Medicine.
Dr. Don Hardt came to Saipan in 2000, also a graduate from the U.C. Berkeley School of Optometry. He worked at Eye Life Institute in Northern California for eight years before joining his brother here in Saipan.
Happy anniversary, Hardt Eye Clinic and may you have many more!
