Kudos to waste program

I used to live on an island, Hawaii, whose solid waste problem has grown exponentially. Although we have a strong recycling program here in Florida, their garbage volume could use some help.

I read both the papers there on Saipan, over the Internet, and have been following the letters to the editor about a company that uses a process called palingenesis out of Manila. I am impressed that this company can convert garbage to construction materials! As far as I know there is nothing like that here in the mainland. I am sure other states besides mine can use an innovation such as this.

I am also impressed that your Govenor Fitial is a forward thinker to consider such a solid waste system for your island. Much luck to all of us islanders and congratulations to the new governor!
