The Division of Environmental Quality cleanup brigade picked up trash at Sugar Dock Beach with New Generation Good/No Generation Gap-Saipan volunteers Dec. 3 last year.

Ten NGG Saipan members joined in cleaning up the beach, described as one of the precious resources of CNMI.

The group wants to keep the natural environment clean and hopes that the CNMI will be known as the cleanest and loveliest tour destination all over the world.

NGG was originally founded in Korea in 2000 by Daniel Huh and got the special prize from the mayor of Inchon City in November 2004.

NGG Saipan team was founded by a number of professionals and high school students in September 2005.

The group’s goal is to become a bridge between the new generation and old generation, offering their services, cleaning up the environment, and providing the elderly with emotional support, among others.

NGG Saipan donated two wheelchairs to the man’amko for the group’s use during their medical trip to Guam.

Their slogan is “New Generation Good, No Generation Gap, Loving Our Community” and their motto is “Righteous, Wise, Just, Honest.”

NGG Saipan wants to be a model volunteer group in the CNMI. NGG Saipan will recruit new members this spring.

Everybody is welcome to join. For more information about NGG Saipan, contact Huh at 483-9191. Those interested can also point their browsers to http://havilah.org http://cafe.daum.net/nggsaipan for more information. (PR)
