Shanghai editor visits Marianas

The CNMI welcomed Wang Wei Jun, the editor of the Shanghai Morning Post newspaper from China.

The Marianas Visitors Authority, along with the Tinian Dynasty Hotel & Casino, and Fiesta Resort & Spa, hosted Wang while on Saipan and Tinian from Jan. 21 to 24, 2006.

“Shanghai Morning Post is a popular daily newspaper in Shanghai, China. It is regarded as one of the most influential newspapers in Shanghai, that appeals to a wide range of readers by covering extensively on various industries and sectors including daily news, IT, lifestyle, tourism, finance and investment,” said MVA acting managing director Tess Castro.

“As a general daily newspaper, it targets the mass public. In every Monday’s issue, the newspaper has a tourism supplement, which attracts travel enthusiasts and white-collar readers. With this, we hope to increase our visitor arrivals from the China market,” added Castro.
