The KMCV news report on Jan. 12 regarding the flood near the Public School System building in Lower Base was fairly reported in that it did not put blame on the new secretary of Public Works nor the new administration. The past has pronounced to the present that it has failed to correct the problem due to funding, equipment, and manpower shortages.

The new secretary of Public Works is not only competent and qualified for the job, but he is also one who possesses the leadership ingredients to lead the employees to the bright side of production for the betterment of the CNMI now and in the future.

Let there be no misconceptions about the new secretary of Public Works. He’s a man of high integrity, professionalism, dedication, commitment, understanding, and vision.

Let’s march behind the new secretary of Public Works. Let’s support his confirmation. Let’s support him with our hearts. Let’s not fight with him. Let’s not argue with him. Let’s give him respect. And let’s thank Gov. Benigno R. Fitial and Lt. Gov. Timothy P. Villagomez for their right appointee.
