Electrician arrested for alleged rape try
An electrician allegedly punched a woman in the stomach and tried to rape her at his residence in Chalan Kiya early morning on Tuesday.
Rogelio Abrece Deducin, 40, was arrested after the woman ran naked outside the house, grabbed clothes from a clothesline and sought help from a neighbor, according to court papers.
Deducin was arrested for attempted sexual assault in the first degree, sexual assault in the second degree, assault and battery, disturbing the peace, kidnapping, and false arrest.
Deducin’s wife is currently on vacation in the Philippines, police said.
During yesterday’s hearing, Superior Court Associate Judge Ramona V. Manglona imposed a $50,000 cash bail for the defendant’s temporary release.
Detective Juan C. Mendiola stated in his report filed in court that the victim told police that Deducin went to her room and started kissing her at 12:30am.
The victim struggled, but the defendant punched her in the stomach. She said she kept on praying then pushed him and ran outside.
The victim said she took clothes from a neighbor’s clothesline to cover her body. She then hid in the jungle.
When Deducin left the house looking for her, she came out from the jungle and knocked on the door of a nearby barracks.
The victim begged a family to help her. Police were then called and placed the defendant under arrest at 1:48am on the same day.
