The joy in the hearts of children at the Chalan Kanoa Headstart could be seen in their smiling faces, after watching in amazement the magic tricks of Prinze.

The magician wowed the children after pouring water into a folded paper and pouring the liquid back into a container, piercing a giant needle into a balloon that did not burst, and picked up three boxes of gift items from what appeared to be an empty carton bag.

For Prinze, performing magic tricks before the children, who celebrated their Christmas Party with parents, gives him joy and pride in the hope that the kids would become tomorrow’s future leaders.

The children also showcased their talents before proud parents, singing action songs in harmony and dancing to the tune of “Christmas in Micronesia Way.”

Finally, before children and parents enjoyed a bounty of food that included spaghetti, fried chicken, hotdogs, and ice cream, teachers Joaquina Santos, Manny Ogarto, and Berry Fredick brought greater joy to the kids by acting Santa Claus and giving them Christmas gifts. Each student excitedly tore the gift wrappers and appreciated the school supplies that they got, including coloring books.

Three-year-old Sophia Frances Tenorio Muna approached her mother Becky and showed off the gift, nodding to mean “yes” when asked if she liked the Christmas present. JM’s innocent smile, and that of the rest of the 38 pupils, clearly manifested the happiness they felt during the Headstart’s Christmas Party.

The teachers thanked the parents for their presence in the party, as well as donating funds to come up with the gifts, which the teachers prepared and wrapped.
