Coke to draw one of three HK Disneyland vacations today
Cola-Cola Beverage Company (Micronesia) Inc., in cooperation with the Saipan Tribune and radio stations KZMI and KCNM, will draw this afternoon one of the three lucky winners of a Hong Kong Disneyland family getaway this holiday season.
Sales and marketing director Kathryn Barry said the drawing will be held 5pm today live at the KZMI radio station. She said other prizes will also be drawn this afternoon. The grand prize will give the lucky winner and his or her three family members a chance for an all-expense paid trip to Hong Kong Disneyland.
There will be two more draws within this month. The beverage company launched the promotional campaign last month. Each trip for a family of four includes roundtrip airfare, three nights stay at the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, and a $1,000 VISA gift card. The promotion will end on Dec. 30, 2005.
For each purchase of any Coca-Cola family six-pack or two-liter bottle, consumers will receive one raffle coupon. Complete the coupon with name, address, contact number, and signature and place it in a drop box in selected stores on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota. The more Coca-Cola products consumers buy, the more chances they have of winning, said Barry.
Last year, Coca-Cola’s year-end promotion awarded one lucky winner, Bernie Mercado, a Nissan Titan. “After the success of our Nissan Titan promotion, we knew our consumers were expecting another unique promotion from Coca-Cola,” said Coca-Cola general manager Johnnie Fong.
Barry earlier said Hong Kong Disneyland was chosen to be the holiday destination because the company wanted to give something very special that the whole family could enjoy.
“Disney and Coca-Cola have been partners for over 50 years and we wanted to be a part of the newest Disney theme park, Hong Kong Disneyland,” she said.
The second and final drawing will be on Dec. 30, 2005, when two more family vacations to Hong Kong Disneyland will be awarded. Drawings for other prizes will take place on both dates.
Travel to Hong Kong Disneyland must be completed by July 1, 2006. Prizes are not convertible to cash, and prizes not claimed by Jan. 31, 2006 will be forfeited. Participants need not be present to win. The names of the winners will also be announced in the Saipan Tribune.
